The Changing Face of Liverpool Are you interested in carrying out archaeological research? Then read on! Merseyside Archaeological Society has received a Capital of Culture grant and is about to start working on an up-dated edition of "The Changing Face of Liverpool", a guide to the archaeology of Liverpool from 1207 to the middle of the 18th century that was published in 1981 and is now out of print. We are looking for volunteers to help us put together the new edition between now and the end of March 2007. If you have or would like to acquire skills in documentary research, digital photography of documents and artefacts, the electronic production of maps and plans, or desk-top publishing, this project could be for you. We will provide training sessions with professionals and travel expenses will be payable. Much of the initial work will take place in the Museum of Liverpool Life and the Liverpool Record Office during the working day. At a later stage, times and venues for the work will be arranged to suit. If you are interested, please send an e-mail by 17 November to Dave Roberts at drandpr@blueyonder.co.uk with details of the skills you have or wish to acquire. Further details will be issued to those expressing an interest. There will be an introductory meeting on Thursday 21 November at 8.00 pm.
